towing is free to<\/i><i> <\/i><i>donor<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To donate simply call the Rotary 7710&#8217;s toll-free number <b>I- <\/b><b>855-527-2232<\/b>, or go online to:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/fs10.formsite.com\/ccdc2\/form58\/index.html\"><b>https:\/\/fs10.formsite.com\/ccdc2\/form58\/index.html<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Donor names Rotary Club to be credited for the donation<\/li>\n<li>Melwood&#8217;s Call Center assigns the vehicle to a local towing and auction company\n<ul>\n<li><i>Donor provides vehicle title and keys to the tow truck operator; towing receipt left with the<\/i><i> <\/i><i>donor<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Once the vehicle has been picked up, a receipt will be issued to the donor using Southwest Durham Rotary Club Foundation letterhead.\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Vehicle sale information recorded and reported monthly to Southwest Durham Rotary Club Foundation; club is advised by SWDR Foundation<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Upon sale, auction proceeds are forwarded to Melwood and management fees are deducted<\/li>\n<li>Residual forwarded to Southwest Durham Rotary Club Foundation for distribution to Club and\/or beneficiary projects<\/li>\n<li>Melwood\u00a0 processes\u00a0 donor acknowledgement letter along with\u00a0 required\u00a0 IRS\u00a0 I098C tax forms<\/li>\n<li>Melwood provides ongoing promotional support for District 7710 and participating Clubs<\/li>\n<li>Donation files are maintained by Melwood for a period of three years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How the Vehicle Donation Program works&#8230;
